Site Needs:
-
Funds or donations are needed to help with completion of the Four Seasons
Environmental Education villa, a place for the community to participate in
year-round, life-long educational opportunities. We will need
donations for the heating and air units, two unisex bathrooms, a complete
catering kitchen as well as for interior program needs such as finishing
walls and floors and purchasing tables, chairs, and office needs.
If you or your group can assist us with completion, we will have a year
round building to enhance educational opportunities. -
Funds are needed to enhance the Kentucky Japanese Pottery Center where we now
fire Japanese inspired Kentucky made raku pottery.
-
We now have an open-air tea house for ceremonies and school presentations.
The open-air Tea House is now
on site in the Maple Grove.

ALSO:
Funds
or donations are needed to continue to enhance areas and provide `detailing' or creation
of `rooms' within the garden.
We have Eagle Scout projects available at Yuko-En. One scout is seeking
funds to mark all the planted trees in the garden for educational purposes.
Please let us know how you can help. Call 502-316-4554.
Volunteers Needed:
The garden was created by donations and
in-kind services.
Contact the program Director if you would
like to assist in any way.
Tour Guides:
Docents or volunteers are needed to lead guided tours of the site.
The Program Director and Trustees will help train you to conduct guided tours.
Garden Upkeep:
Volunteers are needed to help
with general maintenance of the site. We have no maintenance staff
and recently lost our support that helped with
mowing of the garden which is nearly six acres. Let us know what you can
do to help us to keep the garden beautiful.
We always need help beyond the self-policing of
the garden. If you can help with weeding, watering,
raking the Zen Rock Garden, picking up trash, construction projects and other
improvements, we could use your help. Contact the Program Director and you or your group
will be put to work.
Donations:
If you or your group would like to help improve
the garden and/or its programs with a monetary donation simply send your check
to:
Scott Education and Community Foundation

SCHEDULE YOUR EVENT
Weddings, family reunions and renewal of
vows are popular at Yuko-En on the
Elkhorn as we may be the most photographed place in the area. Call today to reserve your date.
The Villa is not complete so it is not for rent at this time. The garden
is available for rent for a minimum donation of $200 which covers one mowing of
the site. Please contact the Program Director to make your reservations: 502-316-4554.
